Hey strangers, it’s been a minute.
Coming off the heels of the Mexican Grand Prix, I’ve just got done going through all my photos from a day trip to Austin to catch Free Practice and the Sprint Qualifying while checking out Hamilton’s Plus Forty-Four pop-up shop in town. I’m reminded why I like Circuit of the Americas as a venue as the atmosphere is always awesome, the staff is super friendly and lax when it comes to camera equipment, and even FP sessions offer excitement seeing the cars take the course in anger.
Since I’ve been here with my dad back for the 2021 race it seems like COTA is really leaning into making this an entertainment/amusement park with the addition of rides. In any case, I was only in town for the day to see Hamilton’s +44 World pop up shop so I got to capture a free practice session and Sprint quali plus a bit of the Porsche GT Carrera Cup.
