The 2013 Ferrari Festival at Highland Village

SR_EDIT_0024Those that know me should be aware that I love exotic sports cars. From Ferrari in particular, I grew up with framed posters of a Testarossa and an F40 on my wall. Knowing nothing of cars, I still revered the two as pinnacles in automotive engineering and design; works of art sculpted by God and donned upon adults way cooler than my parents. To this day 348s will break my neck every time, and the F40 had permanently turned me on to big wheels, giant wings and wearing Hawaiian shirts with white shorts and a gold chain.

2013 Hot Import Nights Houston, TX: Part 1

IMG_0772I feel a little weird coming to Hot Import Nights because I think I enjoy it too much. Pretty girls, cool cars and a crowd full of people attending in celebration of pretty cars and cool girls make for a wonderful atmosphere and for me a guaranteed great time. This past weekend was my second time coming out to the event and, man, it just keeps getting better.

Cars & Coffee: Austin

SR_130811_0021This time last year yours truly was living on a different continent. Specifically, I was on a 200 square mile island in the Pacific ocean called Guam. It’s a tiny place without a heck of a whole lot going on, but it occasionally had its charm and I made a whole lot of great friends. Since moving to the land of the Whataburger (it’s a Texas treasure, y’all!) and getting fat(ter) getting situated, I’ve been eager to show my fam some of the cool stuff out here on the mainland whenever they’d come to visit. Just so happens my baby brother from another mother Mikey flew in for a week, so we met up in Austin to check out Cars and Coffee on a Sunday Morning.

2nd Annual Lamborghini Festival of Houston

SR_20130408_0005If you were enthused with cars growing up in the early half of the 90’s, then chances are good that you had a period of your life where your favorite car had an Italian heritage, a dozen cylinders and doors that reached for the sky. There’s a whole lot more to the exotic sports car world these days, but the Lamborghini Festival of Houston proves that a raging bull can still break necks and draw crowds.
