And with the conclusion of round 3, this year’s Knuckle Up Lights series has reached its end. I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve actually attended every round of a drifting competition. We’re never beating the allegations that StrangeRhythms is a drift media blog, but none of my other hobbies are this cool.
Not too much to say about the day that I haven’t said like, twice before, but Jimmy runs a tight ship and if you have the means to come through as a driver or spectator, you will not regret attending a Knuckle Up event. They really feel like the perfect snapshot of the coolest things about drift culture.
While I’ve just been attending them as media, It’s not a stretch to say I’ve been getting a lot out of the drift days Knuckle Up puts on (spiritually?). These weekends have been nothing but inspirational. I’m constantly amazed at the quality of media from other photographers and videographers that follows each day of driving. And the field of cars is always so cool that I always come away with a new favorite to give me inspiration for my own chariot.
No idea what drift event I’ll go shoot next, but I think it’s time I tried getting back behind the wheel myself. Knuckle Up opened new driver applications this week for their next season of events and I think I’m gonna throw my car in there. Absolutely looking forward to getting roasted in the polls lmao
